In this retreat we will explore to interlinking themes, a new depth understanding of the human person and why that understanding leads us to our contemplative depths. Both themes of the retreat are drawn from the thought of the late monk and seminal thinker Fr. Bede Griffiths: a depth anthropology that takes into account the spiritual depth of each person as well as the wide spectrum of consciousness, and practical wisdom about way of meditation drawn from various spiritual traditions East and West. Fr. Cyprian will bring both theoretical understanding as well as concrete practices to the days together. Participants will be led in both guided meditations and scripturally based prayer services during the course of the week.
There will be two sessions every day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon of one hour and a half each. The course program will be done considering the community’s schedule of prayer.
